Mahua Oil (Ippa Nune): This oil produced by Bhadrachalam Tribals and it's traditionally made with Cold Pressed Oil Extraction Methods.
Madhuca longifolia commonly called as Mahua (Ippa in Telugu) is such a kind of tree involved in day to day activity of Tribal People. Mahua (Ippa Chettu) is a wild tree and grows in forest areas.
Ethnomedical uses say to possess significant antipyretic, hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antitumour, antiprogestational, antiestrogenic and wound healing activity. Traditionally M. longifolia bark is used in rheumatism, ulcers, bleedings and tonsillitis.
